Summer's Here!

Sorry that posts have been absent the last few weeks but I've been visiting family and friends in CT and MI. In Canton, CT my daughter and I visited a wonderful shopping mall that is open to the outdoors. Normally this would be great but rainy weather put a slight damper on things. The great stores made up for it, however. It's the only place where I have ever seen a Sigrid Olsen store and they also have J. Jill, Clearwater Creek, Chico's, Talbot's, and Ann Taylor. There are also some unique shoe and handbag stores that I haven't seen elsewhere. All in all a great shopping experience.

Next was a trip to Detroit, MI with a visit to the Somerset Mall. This upscale mall is home to Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Burberry among other greats. This mall is also home to some of my favorite restaurants including P.F. Chang's and Capital Grille. Ah, so many stores, so little time! In the meantime, progress on Tanglewood continues and the new escalator is now in place. Like many others I am anxiously awaiting the opening of our new Ivy Market and will report on my shopping experience.
